SXSW – Eyespot

is one of my favorite companies that I learned about at this year. When their VP of Content David Todd gave me a demo of their just launched beta site at their tradeshow booth the in the corporate marketing region of my brain just started firing like crazy.

Eyespot’s branding statement is Shoot. Mix. Share. Ok, the slogan sounds a little familiar but the eyespot service is new in that it is an online video remixer that lets the user remix and video content (audio too) and then share it via with most any video capable cellphone.

Jim Kaskade

Jim Kaskade is a serial entrepreneur & enterprise software executive. He's currently focused in the area of digital identity security. He started his career engineering massively parallel processing datacenter applications. Prior to identity, he led a digital application business of over 7,000. Prior to that he led a big data & analytics business of over 1,000. He was the CEO of a Big Data Cloud company; was an EIR at PARC (the Bell Labs of Silicon Valley); led two separate private cloud software startups; founded of one of the most advanced digital video SaaS companies delivering online and wireless solutions to over 10,000 enterprises; and was involved with three semiconductor startups (two of which he founded, one of which he sold). Jim has an Electrical and Computer Science Engineering degree from University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MBA from the University of San Diego.
