Remember Moore’s Law and Nielsen’s Law? The rate at which compute power and Internet bandwidth grows year over year? Well, there is Koomey’s Law which is unleashing the Internet of Things.

The idea is that, at a fixed computing load, the amount of battery needed falls by a factor of two every 18 months. This enables the wide-scale proliferation of mobile and miniaturized computing, sensing, and telemetry applications, facilitating the Internet of Things.

IoT has the greatest potential to advance society, creating a world where all kinds of things are interconnected, smart, communicating, and improving our quality of life. Our future is a connected and smarter world.
