The logical extrapolation of virtualization becomes cloud computing, an objective at some level of nearly all organizations. To attain this vision, the common model of IT service development and operations must be replaced. Process discipline, automation and self-service management tools are inevitable. Without these improvements, internal or use of public clouds are impossible.
