INCEP Appoints New President

INCEP Technologies promotes Jim Hjerpe Kaskade to President

INCEP Technologies announced today that Jim Hjerpe Kaskade has been promoted to President. Mr. Kaskade was formerly INCEP’s V.P. of Marketing and Sales. The appointment took effect October 9, 2000.

“It is critical to have a strong leader for our company’s success. I feel that Jim has demonstrated his leadership abilities in managing critical functions for INCEP during the past year, most notably in connection with our prototype development agreement with Intel Corporation to support the development of a new small form-factor IA-64 server prototype,” stated Jack E. Shemer, INCEP’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Kaskade is a co-founder of INCEP Technologies and has over twelve years of experience in developing and marketing proprietary technologies and services. Since INCEP secured its first round of funding in November 1999, Mr. Kaskade has served as INCEP’s V.P. of Marketing and Sales. Prior to INCEP, Mr. Kaskade held a broad range of positions in engineering, product management, and marketing. As Director of Marketing and Sales at Convergence Design, Inc. (CDI), and earlier at NCR Corporation’s Teradata Division, Mr. Kaskade was responsible for establishing new business strategies, managing product programs, establishing strategic partnerships, and creating new sales/distribution channels.

Jim Kaskade is a serial entrepreneur & enterprise software executive of over 36 years. He is the CEO of Conversica, a leader in Augmented Workforce solutions that help clients attract, acquire, and grow end-customers. He most recently successfully exited a PE-backed SaaS company, Janrain, in the digital identity security space. Prior to identity, he led a digital application business of over 7,000 people ($1B). Prior to that he led a big data & analytics business of over 1,000 ($250M). He was the CEO of a Big Data Cloud company ($50M); was an EIR at PARC (the Bell Labs of Silicon Valley) which resulted in a spinout of an AML AI company; led two separate private cloud software startups; founded of one of the most advanced digital video SaaS companies delivering online and wireless solutions to over 10,000 enterprises; and was involved with three semiconductor startups (two of which he founded, one of which he sold). He started his career engineering massively parallel processing datacenter applications. Jim has an Electrical and Computer Science Engineering degree from University of California, Santa Barbara, with an emphasis in semiconductor design and computer science; and an MBA from the University of San Diego with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and finance.
